  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jeremy Corbell -- A shocking & hidden history now revealed : Finally, the truth can now be told about one of the most influential modern day government UFO programs. Mainly, that our DoD and intelligence agencies have indeed been studying the UAP phenomenon - with intense interest in the name of national security - and that the program went far beyond what we initially were told. Our military studied not only the exotic nature of the UFO mystery - but also studied stranger and more haunting associated phenomenon surrounding UAP encounters. Even delving into the uncomfortable reality of biological effects caused by encounters with the phenomenon. This is a story so profound - it’s only now been authorized and cleared for official release by the Department of Defense. Read this book at your own peril - the world you live in will never look the same. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2021 )
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars from Molly VanZant -- Lots of words, not much information : This is a fawning tribute to billionaire Robert Bigelow who investigated UAP and paranormal phenomena through his organization NIDS and then got 22 million dollars from the government to do some more research. There's a lot of talk in this book but not much information. What did we get for our investment? Did we find out anything that we can use to defend ourselves against a paranormal or alien attack? I guess we'll never know. The book is strangely repetitive, describing the request for proposal process (RFP) twice. The first time, they indicate that the RFP was open for about 20 days and Bigelow was the only bidder. The second time it is described with the strange wording "It is understood that Bigelow was the only bidder." So Harry Reid opened up the wallet and somehow only his fellow Nevadan Bigelow got any money. What did he use the money on? Putting sensors and guards around Bigelow's property "Skinwalker Ranch". The book tries to explain what great research they did without actually presenting any data. Revelations include that there is a paranormal aspect to UFO encounters (already described by Vallee, Keel, Bullard, and many others) and that auto-immune disease often follows a UFO encounter (also frequently described in the current literature), and that (just in time for Halloween!) spooky hitchhikers will follow the researchers home from the ranch and infect their family and friends. A wolfman sighted by a researcher's family and friends is cited as evidence. No attempt at explanation or mitigation is described. The correlation is breathlessly recounted, ending with a dismissive wave at coincidence. There's no evidence of any scientific kind that this actually happened and has anything to do with Skinwalker Ranch, much less any actions a researcher could take to protect his family. Maybe that's classified. The tests described are also oddly lacking in detail. They say the workers at the ranch were not experimental subjects (would love to see that informed consent form!) and that they gave them many MRIs. I'm left wondering, what exactly were they looking at in the MRI? No info is revealed, just that they changed. They also talk about evaluating a subject's liver markers (elevated!) but no mention of biomarkers (gene expression) even though there is a lofty quote about gene expression at the chapter heading. Basically the impression this book leaves is that we paid 22 million dollars for a bunch of dudes to run around a ranch scaring each other. Most of the spooky stories end with "and then he got scared and ran away". For example a security guard goes into one of the buildings at night, turns off his flashlight for some reason and stands there in the dark and begins to feel afraid. What exactly is this supposed to be evidence of? If it's evidence of some sort of paranormal attack, there's no indication they tried to prevent it or even describe the mechanism. Maybe this information is locked in the huge "body of data" the book claims exists. As evidence that the government takes UFOs seriously, I guess 22 million dollars is pretty convincing. As evidence that we got anything new for this new investment, this book is incredibly sparse. Despite the title there are no Skinwalkers at the Pentagon. • from Simlasa -- VINE VOICE : A dull tale of government pork dressed up in obfuscating government jargon. ( 1.0 out of 5 stars )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Richard Deveno -- Welcome To The AWSAP FOIA Manual : The writing style was both concise and extremely informative. I enjoyed this book immensely and managed to read it in under 4 hours. Now we at least have some idea what was in all those reports Bigelow Aerospace was producing, and where they were forwarded to and what their exact titles were ... A holy grail of almost impossible to fund research projects all under a single umbrella pumped out over something like 2 years. And so much to read between the lines ! When the carrier group was confronted by the "Tic Tac", the official response was that they didn't need to file any reports because they were on a training exercise ... AWSAP only stumbled on it because someone they hired had been on the carrier. And the DHS comes up an awful in these pages. No idea what the big picture is ... but the rabbit hole is a lot deeper anyone wants to think about. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from M P llewellyn -- Probably the most important book about the phenomena surrounding Skinwalker Ranch. : I’ve bought this book as a companion book to Hunt for the Skinwalker by the same authors. In some ways, in many ways it is far more important and eludes to some potential answers that many may not be prepared for. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 17, 2021 )
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars from Neil S -- A glimpse behind the curtain : In some ways a follow up to 'Hunt for the Skinwalker' and a glimpse into the US Govt funded work there and elsewhere into UAP's. The book necessarily suffers from the classified nature of its theme with many details unable to be provided. The authors do the best with what they are able to reveal and it should be looked at as a necessary step along the road to further disclosures. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 15, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Carmel Carroll -- very clear and concise : Good chronological order of the issues, with new information, which has enhanced my opinion and interest on the topic. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 13, 2021 )
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars from STS -- Good : Good Read ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 16, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from David Esp -- Intriguing stepping-stone in the greater process : I have no idea what the "greater process" ultimately aims at achieving, but this book serves as a useful stepping-sone along it. If only there were ways we outsiders could verify the more fantastic anecdotes - without acquiring physical or mental (etc.?) harm of course. Or relying on others. Currently released videos etc. don't cut it. Waiting... ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 31, 2021 )
